## Description

Founded in 1950, the Beloit Poetry Journal is an independent literary publication devoted to contemporary poetry. It publishes formally adventurous work that challenges conventions of content, aesthetics, and form, bringing together poems that are candid, difficult to paraphrase, wry, and lyrical. The journal aims to showcase the evolving character of contemporary poetry and to support work that challenges, transforms, and sustains readers.

Readers can explore the journal’s current and past issues, interviews with poets, reviews, news, and editorial features. The Beloit Poetry Journal also publishes chapbooks through the Chad Walsh Chapbook Series and presents poetry prizes, including the Adrienne Rich Award for Poetry. Submissions are considered for publication, and the award’s winning poet receives a cash prize.

The journal offers subscriptions, individual issues, and chapbooks through its online shop. Subscribers receive a copy of the forthcoming Chad Walsh chapbook as part of their subscription. The publication also welcomes tax-deductible donations to help sustain its independent work serving poets, poetry, and readers.
