## Description

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is Nigeria’s public procurement regulatory authority, established under the Public Procurement Act 2007. It monitors and oversees public procurement, working to modernize practices and strengthen transparency, accountability, competition, efficiency, integrity, and value for money in support of national development.

BPP provides digital services and resources for government institutions, procurement professionals, contractors, consultants, and service providers. These include the Nigeria Open Contracting Portal, which provides information on procurement plans and records; a database for federal contractors and service providers; the National Procurement Officers Management System; and the Nigerian Procurement Certification Programme, open to Nigerian citizens practicing procurement in the public or private sectors. Its Procurement Compliance Monitoring Services platform supports oversight and compliance, while the Digital Standards Platform provides access to Nigerian Industrial Standards and other authorized standards publications. The Bureau also offers public procurement documents, including standard bidding documents, policies, circulars, procurement records, and complaint guidance.
