## Description

Brad Laidman is an author whose work brings humor, philosophy, and thoughtful absurdity together to explore the contradictions of everyday life. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and influenced by Voltaire, sports, movies, comic books, and popular culture, he writes with sharp observation and quiet empathy. His stories often focus on outsiders, human nature, and the uneasy overlap between laughter and sorrow.

Laidman’s featured book, Waiting for Clark Kent: An Existential Cartoon, reimagines the familiar Superman mythology as a playful, sometimes painful story about identity, adolescence, and feeling different. Following a young Clark Kent through heartbreak and the challenges of extraordinary abilities in an ordinary world, the novel blends baseball history, existential humor, philosophy, and imaginative storytelling. It offers a distinctive take for readers who enjoy genre-bending stories and unconventional perspectives.

Through his official website, Laidman shares information about his writing, book updates, blog posts, interviews, and cultural commentary. Visitors can also watch the book trailer and hear him read the opening chapter.
