## Description

Brain & Body Fitness is an exercise service focused on active ageing and supporting people to move well, build confidence and improve social wellbeing. Part of The Hospital Research Foundation, it offers an inclusive alternative for adults living with chronic health conditions, injuries or physical impairments who may not feel at home in a mainstream gym. Its approach brings together neuroplasticity, flexibility, strength and balance, with programs tailored to each person’s health needs and goals.

Qualified exercise physiologists assess members and develop individualised exercise plans, then provide supervision and guidance as programs progress. Services include individual programs, group classes and one-to-one home visits, alongside hydrotherapy in a supportive setting. Weekly classes include yoga, dance, boxing and Pilates, and membership includes supervised access to exercise programs during opening hours. The service supports people with conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular or respiratory disease, and neurological conditions, as well as those recovering from brain injury, stroke, surgery or other injuries.
