## Description

Brain Tumor Companion (BTC), also known as Meningioma Companion, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2020 by meningioma survivor Angel Jones. It supports people living with brain tumors, including those undergoing watch-and-wait monitoring, preparing for surgery, or adjusting after treatment, as well as their caregivers. The organization grew from Angel’s experience navigating diagnosis, years of monitoring, surgery, and recovery, and its focus is on helping others feel less isolated.

BTC offers weekly online peer support groups where participants can connect with people who understand the challenges of a brain tumor diagnosis. Individuals can also schedule one-on-one support sessions with Angel. Its work includes patient advocacy, education, brain tumor awareness, community initiatives, speaking engagements, and research fundraising. The organization also shares resources, videos, newsletters, and other information to help patients and caregivers find guidance and community.
