## Description

BRANCH is a revolutionary brand at the forefront of Victorian studies and digital humanities. Inspired by the NINES initiative, BRANCH offers a unique perspective on British history from 1775 to 1925 at branchcollective.org. With a modest investment of $14,000, BRANCH showcases the plug-and-play future of scholarly endeavors, utilizing free, open-source tools like WordPress and the SIMILE timeline. This innovative approach allows for the exploration of new scholarly boundaries while upholding traditional academic values, free from commercial provider influence. By joining forces with other free-culture sites, BRANCH aims to break down barriers to scholarly knowledge, combating the 'deep web' phenomenon and reaching a broader audience to reassert the cultural authority of Victorian studies. Embracing the digital age, BRANCH is leading the way in reshaping how we research and publish, ensuring that Victorian studies evolve in alignment with modern technological advancements. Explore BRANCH for a fresh perspective on history and scholarship.
