# Brava Mom Prom - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `bravamomprom.com` ## Description BrAva is a nonprofit organization serving families affected by childhood cancer in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Its name combines those of local girls Bridget Crock and Ava Nichols, whose experiences with the disease inspired the organization’s work. In honor of Bridget and in memory of Ava, BrAva provides funding and support to help other families facing childhood cancer. Since 2011, it has given more than $700,000 to local families and CureSearch, a national organization focused on childhood cancer research. BrAva’s signature event is the annual BrAva Mom Prom, which brings the community together to support its mission. The 2026 event is scheduled for April 17 at the Tower Event & Conference Center in Marietta, Ohio. Guests can enjoy a DJ, food and drinks from local vendors, a raffle, and a coronation honoring mothers affected by childhood cancer. Admission and additional event items, including raffle tickets and luminaries, are offered through the event ticketing site.
