Braven Brewing Company is a craft brewery that was founded in 2013 by Marshall S. Thompson and Eric Feldman in the historic Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. In 2019, the Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Company acquired the Braven brand and began producing their signature beer, the Bushwick Pilsner, in Rhode Island and distributing it throughout New York. Braven Brewing Company celebrates the Bold & Crafty, including artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, risk-takers, and believers. Their vision is to inspire creativity and independence with every sip of their beer. The journey began in 2009 when Marshall and Eric decided to start homebrewing. After designing their own recipes, they transformed Eric's kitchen into their first brewery. They traveled to various craft breweries across the country, gaining inspiration for their own venture in New York City. With the support of S.K.I. Beer Distributors and Olde Saratoga Brewing Company, Braven Brewing Company officially launched in 2013. They quickly gained recognition and success, especially with their Bushwick Pilsner, inspired by the historic breweries in the Bushwick area. In 2019, Newport Craft acquired Braven Brewing Company, ensuring the continued production and availability of the beloved Bushwick Pilsner.
