## Description

The Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta is an annual rowing event honoring Bill Braxton, a Marietta College student and member of the Lightweight Eight crew that went undefeated and won the Dad Vail Regatta in 1973. After Braxton died in a car accident later that year, the regatta was established in his memory and celebrates the dedication, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit of rowers. Hosted by the Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club, the event takes place at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey.
