# Breaking Borders - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `breakingborders.camp` ## Description Breaking Borders Together is an inclusive basketball project run by Sprungwurf e.V., offering free workouts in Hamburg and Bremerhaven. The initiative welcomes people with and without disabilities, bringing together participants from different cultures and social backgrounds through sport. Its goal is to encourage inclusion, strengthen social participation and help break down language barriers and apprehension between people. Participants develop basketball fundamentals through coached training, learning stations and open play, while building fairness, respect, tolerance and teamwork. Workouts are led by qualified coaches, including professional basketball players, personal coaches and motivational coaches. The program also includes mental coaching, such as yoga, with an emphasis on mindfulness and self-confidence. Participants may have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills before large audiences, and the project aims to inspire continued involvement in sport, including by helping participants find a sports club. Breaking Borders Together also seeks to encourage other clubs to create inclusive sports opportunities.
