The Kenya Association for Breastfeeding (KAB) is an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting breastfeeding in Kenya. Founded by a group of passionate breastfeeding counsellors and lactation educators, KAB's primary objective is to provide practical support and information to breastfeeding mothers and families. KAB aims to empower mothers to establish and continue exclusive breastfeeding for their babies from birth to six months, and to continue breastfeeding along with complementary foods until the recommended age of two years. Recognizing the need for accessible training and resources in this field, KAB is committed to providing high-quality education and support to its members, health professionals, and the wider community. Membership in KAB is open to individuals who have received specific training in breastfeeding and/or infant nutrition and are certified by a reputable institution. By joining KAB, members gain access to a supportive network, valuable resources, and the opportunity to advocate for breastfeeding rights in Kenya. Overall, the Kenya Association for Breastfeeding is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding in Kenya, ensuring that mothers have the knowledge and assistance they need to give their babies the best start in life.
