## Description

Derechei Neshima (Airways) is an Israeli nonprofit supporting people living with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and bronchiectasis, as well as their families. The organization aims to ease the challenges of these chronic respiratory conditions and represent patients collectively before medical institutions and public bodies, guided by professionalism, fairness, and transparency.

The association provides accessible information about respiratory diseases and patient rights, including guidance on benefits and support available to patients and family caregivers. Its website features educational articles, a medical glossary, information about pulmonary rehabilitation and lung institutes, and videos and media coverage. Topics include managing respiratory health, preventing infections and hospital readmissions, and understanding treatments such as CPAP.

Derechei Neshima also raises awareness and connects patients with professionals and the wider healthcare community. Its activities include public lung-function testing initiatives in partnership with hospitals and the Israeli Pulmonary Association, as well as opportunities for patients to meet and discuss life with respiratory conditions alongside specialists.
