Breath of Fire is an award-winning Latina theater company based in downtown Santa Ana, Orange County. Their mission is to support and enrich the lives of Latinas in the performing arts by providing representation, opportunities, and leadership roles. Since its inception in the early 2000s, Breath of Fire has made a significant impact on the Orange County arts scene, producing over 20 world premieres. They have been recognized as a Community Leader by OC Human Relations for their extraordinary contributions to human and civil rights.

Breath of Fire serves as an incubator for voices historically excluded in theater, offering programming in storytelling, playwriting, producing, and acting. As artist residents of California State University of Fullerton's Grand Central Arts Center, they bring seasoned theater artists to facilitate high-quality theater-making workshops. These workshops are available both in-person and online, reaching the Orange County community and beyond.

Breath of Fire is a volunteer-based organization and welcomes contributions to support their work and their artists. Their vision is to raise awareness of critical issues, entertain, challenge, foster cross-cultural understanding, and be a catalyst for personal healing and social justice. Despite demographic changes, Breath of Fire remains the only Latina theater company in Orange County, striving to create a space for untold stories and voices that deserve to be heard.
