## Description

Erfgoed- en Geschiedkundige Vereniging Breda en ommeland is a heritage and history association dedicated to researching, preserving, and sharing the history of Breda and its surrounding region. It brings together local residents, historians, and anyone interested in the area’s cultural heritage, from Breda’s medieval past and connection with the Nassau family to its changing streets, buildings, and communities. Members and guests can take part in presentations, lectures, excursions, and other events throughout the year, with activities covering local history and heritage. The association also publishes the quarterly magazine Engelbrecht van Nassau and the annual, illustrated yearbook De Oranjeboom, featuring historical stories and research. Its digital heritage library and reading room provide online access to past issues and yearbooks, alongside other publications and historical resources. Members can contribute to research, projects, and publications, support heritage preservation, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Membership starts at €17.50 per year and includes access to member benefits; guests are also welcome at events.
