Brethren Community Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting the education and welfare of low-income youth and seniors. Our mission is to provide financial assistance and grants to non-profit organizations and individuals in need, ensuring that they have access to quality education, housing, healthcare, food, and clothing. For youth, we focus on education and literacy programs that employ a multi-sensory approach to language learning.

We also offer scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate academic success and potential. For seniors, we prioritize their housing needs by providing rent and care assistance. This includes support in the areas of medical care, food, and clothing, ensuring their health and well-being.

Our foundation has a rich history, starting with the establishment of the Long Beach Brethren Manor in 1964. Today, we continue that vision of transforming lives through philanthropic giving. In 2021, we transitioned to a Donor Advised Fund with the Orange County Community Foundation, allowing us to further amplify our impact.
