## Description

Brian D. McLaren is an author, speaker, activist, teacher, and public theologian whose work explores faith, courage, ecology, culture, and the common good. A former college English teacher and pastor, he has written more than twenty books across fiction and nonfiction, inviting readers to ask honest questions and imagine more generous ways of living. His books address spiritual growth, religious identity, doubt, belonging, ecological crises, and humanity’s future. Titles include Faith After Doubt, Do I Stay Christian?, Life After Doom, and the science-fiction novel The Last Voyage. His upcoming work includes The Great Rift, the second novel in a Mars trilogy, and The Beautiful Logic of a Meaningful Life. McLaren also offers keynotes, conversations, retreats, and virtual gatherings for communities, campuses, conferences, and multi-faith events, with public speaking planned to resume on a limited basis in 2027. He co-hosts the Center for Action and Contemplation podcast Learning How to See. His website features writing, events, podcasts, videos, an archive, and EDGEWISE, an occasional newsletter.
