Brian Skerry is a renowned photojournalist and film producer, specializing in marine wildlife and underwater environments. His impressive portfolio includes being a contract photographer for National Geographic Magazine since 1998, where he has covered stories on every continent and in nearly every ocean habitat. In 2014, he was named a National Geographic Photography Fellow, and in 2017, a National Geographic Society Storytelling Fellow. Brian has also received the title of Rolex National Geographic Explorer of the Year and is an 11-time award winner in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

He has also authored 12 books, including the acclaimed monographs Ocean Soul and Shark. As an Explorer-In-Residence at the New England Aquarium, Brian is dedicated to ocean exploration, storytelling, and conservation, and is available for speaking engagements and projects. His latest book, Secrets of the Whales, was released in April 2021 and accompanied by a 4-part documentary film series that won the 2021 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary. With his extensive experience and dedication to marine conservation, Brian Skerry continues to inspire and educate audiences worldwide.
