## Description

Bridge Victoria, also known as ACBL Unit 431, is a nonprofit organization promoting duplicate bridge in Victoria, British Columbia, and the nearby Gulf Islands. Part of the American Contract Bridge League’s District 19, which includes Alaska, British Columbia, and Washington, the unit serves about 400 paid members and a wider community of local players. Its goal is to meet the needs of current members, welcome new participants, and make bridge challenging, social, and enjoyable.

The organization supports the local bridge community through several sectional tournaments each year, as well as special events and online activities, including a mentor game on Bridge Base Online. Its website shares tournament schedules and results, club information, news, member resources, and guidance for online bridge. Players can also find information about bridge teachers, membership directories, masterpoint milestones, and local bridge history.

Unit 431 is governed by a board elected by its members. The board oversees tournaments and promotions, addresses policy and ethics matters, and connects local players with other clubs and the wider ACBL.
