## Description

The Brisbane Irish Festival is a community-led celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Irish culture and its enduring legacy in Queensland. Organised by the not-for-profit St Patrick’s Day Parade Association Incorporated, the festival brings people together for the annual Brisbane St. Patrick’s Day Parade and related activities. The 2027 parade is scheduled for Saturday, 13 March, continuing a tradition that invites participants and spectators to paint the town green. The association also shares parade information, event updates, photographs and news, and encourages community participation through volunteering. Its program has featured themed parade entries, including the 2026 theme, “Gaeilge – The Language of Ireland,” and the Jan Dooley St. Patrick’s Day Parade Participant Award. The festival relies on donations and support from local businesses, sponsors and government partners to fund the parade and promote Irish culture in Brisbane. Supporters can contribute through donations, sponsorship and advertising. The association provides contact information for enquiries and welcomes people who wish to get involved in the festival or support its community-run events.
