BRISMES, the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies, was founded in 1973 to foster interest and scholarship in the Middle Eastern cultural region, spanning from classical antiquity to modern times. With around 500 members globally, BRISMES serves as a key forum for educators and researchers dedicated to Middle East Studies, a diverse discipline that intersects with the humanities and social sciences.
