## Description

Boxer’s Rebellion Martial Arts (BRMA) is a small, locally operated martial arts gym on Tucson’s east side, serving teens and adults ages 12 and up. Open since 2008, the school builds on a Jujitsu lineage that began in Tucson in 1962. Its approach combines traditional and modern influences in a practical training method focused on self-defense, martial sport, fitness, and supportive team camaraderie.

BRMA offers three core programs. American Jujitsu emphasizes stand-up grappling, throws, and techniques drawn from Jujitsu, Judo, and wrestling. Sanda Kickboxing combines striking with wrestling-style throws, sweeps, and takedowns. Wushu Combatives, or Kung Fu, teaches armed and unarmed self-defense, incorporating traditional Chinese martial arts and weapons such as the straight sword, saber, spear, staff, and short stick. Training includes sparring and pressure testing, with an emphasis on applying forms and techniques functionally.

Classes are held Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. BRMA offers a free trial week for prospective students.
