## Description

Broken Spoke Stables is a family-run horse facility on a historic farm in Hobart, New York, in the Catskill Mountain region. Dating to 1790, the farm has a long connection to horses and once served as a relay station for horse-drawn mail. The stable welcomes local residents and visitors for riding, horse care, and instruction.

Services include guided trail rides through woods, fields, and nearby mountain scenery, available by reservation, as well as private and group riding lessons for riders of different levels. Lessons cover English and Western disciplines, including hunter/jumpers, Western pleasure, and gymkhana. Seasonal horse camps give children opportunities to learn barn management, grooming, feeding, riding, and horsemanship. Riders can also join the stable’s show team, with partial leases and other participation options available.

For horse owners, Broken Spoke offers full and rough boarding, plus training. The stable also rescues horses needing rehabilitation or retraining. Its emphasis on careful instruction, well-trained horses, and a welcoming environment makes it a destination for both new and experienced riders.
