## Description

The Brooklyn Bird Club (BBC), established in 1909 by Dr. Edward Vietor, is a vibrant community of bird enthusiasts located in Brooklyn, NY. With nearly 400 active members, the club welcomes participants of all skill levels, from seasoned birdwatchers to novices eager to learn. The BBC offers a range of activities, including organized early morning bird walks during spring and fall migration, as well as year-round trips to popular birding locations in the tri-state area.

In addition to field activities, the club hosts a regular lecture series featuring expert speakers on diverse topics, such as birding techniques, bird identification, and nature photography. Members also share their own experiences and photos from their wildlife travels. The BBC is deeply invested in conservation efforts, actively working to protect natural habitats in urban settings. Their newsletter, the Clapper Rail, keeps members informed with news, trip reports, and articles. Join the Brooklyn Bird Club to immerse yourself in the rewarding sport of birdwatching and connect with fellow bird lovers.
