## Description

Brooklyn Machine Works (BMW) was founded in 1996 in Brooklyn, New York, by Joe Avedisian and Chris "Doc" Boudreaux — two riders who started making custom pedals, rim brakes, and frames simply because they were fed up with breaking the parts they were using. The brand quickly became legendary in fixed gear, BMX, and downhill communities, celebrated for its toughness, hand-welded steel construction, and utilitarian beauty — building frames that were made to last in the unforgiving terrain of city streets. Their frames confounded many riders by being built from steel in an aluminum age, becoming cult objects in New York, Japan, and beyond. Among their most iconic releases is the Gangsta Track series — known for its aggressive geometry, barspin clearance, and fixed-gear simplicity — with early models now considered collector's items and the V4 released in limited numbers globally.
