## Description

Brooklyn Bridge Sail Club is a membership-based sailing organization founded in 2015 to serve New York Harbor’s sailing community. Based at Brooklyn Bridge Marina, the club aims to help revitalize recreational sailing through professionally maintained boats, sailing instruction, cruising opportunities, and racing. Its fleet includes six Melges 24s and seven J/80s, modern boats used by sailors at a range of experience levels.

Members with skipper privileges can reserve boats for private sails, while crew members can join Fleet Captain cruises led by experienced skippers, including sailing coaches and club members. The club also organizes annual bareboat cruising trips to warm-weather destinations, open to members and the public. Its learning programs include Taste of Sailing, Learn to Sail, and skipper certification. Racing takes place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with selected weekend regattas and a Fleet Captain racing program that brings together skippers and crew of varied abilities. Through sailing, training, and shared activities on and off the water, Brooklyn Bridge Sail Club fosters a supportive community of sailors and New Yorkers.
