## Description

Founded in 2016, Brooklyn Track Club (BKTC) is a New York City running community built around the belief that running is better together. With more than 700 members across the boroughs and around the world, the club welcomes runners of diverse ages, backgrounds, paces, goals, and experience levels. It combines community, group training, and performance-focused resources to support members’ running ambitions.

BKTC offers weekly track, tempo, and long-run sessions. Tuesday track workouts focus on speed development at McCarren Park, while Thursday sessions use tempo, fartlek, or hill training to help runners work toward goal race paces. Saturday long runs build aerobic fitness, with routes around the city, pace groups, and bag check. Members can also join coach- and captain-led strength sessions focused on fundamentals and injury prevention.

Membership includes access to the Heylo community, where runners can connect, find race-specific training schedules, and receive club announcements and event updates. Visitors and prospective members are welcome to try a practice, and Brooklyn Trail Club runs are open to all.
