BruBotics is a multidisciplinary consortium of 8 research groups from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium, specializing in Human Robotic technology research. They focus on various areas such as exoskeletons, social robots, artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction, robotic rehabilitation, prosthetics, collaborative robots, and more. BruBotics was established in 2015 with funding from the Flemish Industrieel Onderzoekfonds (Industrial Research Fund) based on the recognition that robotics and artificial intelligence can help address societal challenges and create economic opportunities.

With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinarity, BruBotics combines the expertise of over 100 scientists working on diverse topics including aging studies, robotic mechanics, social studies, human physiology, artificial intelligence, and engineering. Their goal is to develop Human-Centered Robotic technology that improves society and enhances our quality of life. With a proven track record in top-notch research and a dedication to collaboration with industry and academia, BruBotics is at the forefront of cutting-edge research in the field of Human Robotics
