Drawing inspiration from the Brugmansia genus of flowering plants, also known as Angel's Trumpets, our organization combines scientific and religious knowledge to envision a new future for how faith communities can serve in a world shaped by climate challenges. As scientists, engineers, scholars, and religious leaders, we recognize that addressing climate change requires more than just infrastructure and resource changes; it also necessitates a fundamental shift in our cultural and worldview. At Brugmansia Ministries, we believe in the possibility of a world where humans live in harmony with their environment and embrace justice, intersectionality, inclusivity, and a comprehensive understanding of consumption and resource extraction. Our mission is to build physical, relational, and spiritual infrastructure within faith communities, empowering them to proactively address climate-driven environmental and human disasters. We strive to create resilient and adaptive faith communities that can serve individuals and groups affected by environmental disasters and climate-related migration. Our team, led by Executive Director and Founder Josh Richardson, consists of environmental geologists, architects, climate adaptation professionals, and faith leaders who bring their expertise and passion to our organization's work. Together, we aim to prepare and empower faith communities to make a positive difference in a rapidly changing world. Join Brugmansia Ministries in making a lasting impact on climate change and climate-induced migration. Visit our website to learn more about our work, projects, and how you can get involved.
