## Description

Black Sky Industries is an Australian aerospace and propulsion company focused on designing, developing and manufacturing solid rocket technologies at scale. Its vertically integrated capabilities support defence and aerospace applications, with an emphasis on responsive development and a secure domestic supply chain.

The company customises and characterises ammonium perchlorate propellants and designs solid rocket motors, including their cases, nozzles and insulators. Its services include testing and evaluation at multiple facilities, static firing stands, controlled destructive and conditional testing, and operation of private launch ranges in Western Queensland. Black Sky also provides launch approvals and launch-site operations for sub-orbital missions.

Its products include solid rocket propellants and motors, the Wagtail rocket-assisted take-off system for helping UAVs carry heavier payloads and reach greater ranges, and launch vehicles and training rockets. Black Sky develops these vehicles in-house, including rocket motors, airframes, guidance, navigation and control systems, and avionics. It offers short- and long-range platforms and training rockets, as well as Australian-produced ammonium perchlorate to support solid-motor manufacturing.
