## Description

The Bulgarian Skating Federation (BSF) is Bulgaria’s national governing body for figure skating and short track speed skating. Established as a non-profit legal entity and licensed under Bulgarian sports legislation, it supports the development of these disciplines and regulates their organization nationally. BSF represents Bulgaria within the international skating community and has been a member of the International Skating Union (ISU) since 1967, aligning its activities with international rules, standards, and competition structures.

The federation brings together more than 20 member clubs and 350 registered athletes. Through its work with clubs and competitors, it organizes between eight and ten competitions each year and has awarded more than 250 prizes. Its governance is led by a President and a Management Board of at least three members, elected for terms of up to five years. The General Assembly, comprising member clubs with voting rights, is the federation’s highest authority. BSF’s activities focus on fostering participation, coordinating competitions, and providing a national framework for figure skating and short track in Bulgaria.
