## Description

Bürgerschützenverein 1679 Ascheberg e.V. is a civic marksmen’s association based in Ascheberg, Germany, with a history dating back to 1679. Guided by the motto “Love and unity are the adornment of our society,” the club brings members together around local traditions, community life and shooting activities. Its organisation includes several sections: the Avantgarde, First Company, women’s company, shooting group and artillery section, supported by officers and a board. The association’s activities include its annual Schützenfest, seasonal gatherings and other community events, with updates shared through its website and social media. The site also provides information for prospective members and resources for the reigning king or queen, including guidance on their responsibilities, the ceremonial process and available support. Visitors can explore records of past kings and queens, Avantgarde leaders and ceremonial birds, as well as news about current representatives and events. By combining historic customs, organised groups and opportunities to participate, the association offers residents a way to connect with Ascheberg’s longstanding marksmen’s tradition.
