## Description

The Brett T. Bailey Mako Rodeo is an annual fishing tournament and charitable initiative honoring Brett Bailey, who died on September 11, 2001. Created in his memory, the event celebrates his passion for fishing and enjoyment of life while bringing anglers, families, and children together to support people in need. The tournament is based in Brielle, New Jersey, and its 18th annual event was scheduled for June 14 and 15, 2019, with activities at the Brielle Yacht Club and the Sandbar/Pig & Parrot.

The BTB Foundation works with charities that reflect Brett’s spirit. A portion of tournament entry fees and proceeds, along with donations and support from sponsors, local partners, and the fishing community, helps fund charitable efforts. The foundation reports raising more than $550,000 over its first 17 years and supporting military personnel, firefighters, police, and other first responders in need. The organization also offers opportunities to donate, participate in the tournament, explore merchandise, and view event photographs.
