## Description

Beneath the Palms Midwifery is a private midwifery practice based in Cairns, serving families across Far North Queensland. Founded by Caitlin, a registered midwife with more than 14 years of experience in hospital and community settings, the practice provides personalised, emotionally safe care centred on each client’s needs, values and choices. Its continuity-of-care model means clients work with one midwife throughout pregnancy and into the postpartum period, with time to ask questions, understand options and prepare for birth.

Services include pregnancy care and education, tailored birth preparation, postpartum home visits, feeding and settling support, and emotional check-ins. The practice also offers birth debriefing for people processing a previous birth experience, hands-on C-section scar release, pregnancy bodywork to ease discomfort and support birth preparation, and evidence-informed needling therapy and moxibustion. Care is trauma-aware and evidence-informed, with practical guidance and ongoing connection for parents and babies. Many services may attract Medicare rebates for eligible clients; individual costs depend on care needs, eligibility and the services included.
