## Description

The Büdericher Heinzelmännchen 1948 e.V. is a nonprofit carnival society based in Büderich, Meerbusch. Founded in 1948, the association brings local residents together to celebrate the Rhineland’s carnival season and is a member of both the Comitee Düsseldorfer Carneval and the Bund Deutscher Karneval. Its activities combine festive performances, community events and long-standing traditions.

The society organizes a major costume session, with tickets available through its website, and hosts events such as a traditional Richtfest and gatherings for senior residents, including a session at the Johanniter-Stift in Büderich. Its dance guard performs at the society’s own events and visits celebrations hosted by friendly carnival clubs. Members also take part in the Düsseldorf Rose Monday parade and maintain customs such as the traditional bird-shooting contest, which selects the society’s king.

Beyond the carnival season, the Heinzelmännchen share news and event dates through their website and invite people to become members. Their program offers residents opportunities to participate, perform and enjoy carnival together.
