## Description

Bugaszeg Horgásztó is a fishing destination managed by the Dél-Balatoni Sporthorgász Egyesület, a sports fishing association in the southern Balaton region of Hungary. Set in a former floodplain near Balatonboglár, the 25-hectare lake has a firm, peat-rich bottom, an average depth of about 1.5 metres, and natural features including reeds, shrubs and underwater snags. Its fish include carp, koi carp, grass carp, bream, crucian carp, tench, asp, catfish, zander and pike.

The lake offers designated bank and pier fishing areas, and fishing from boats is permitted; boat rental is available. Since early 2025, day tickets are no longer offered, and fishing is reserved for members of the association. The site provides practical visitor information, fishing regulations and updates, as well as details about community events and contact options. Rules protect selected fish and limit catches, including restrictions on keeping large carp and grass carp, while koi carp and tench must be returned immediately after photography. Ice fishing is prohibited.
