Build up Nepal Engineering is a social business committed to creating resilient communities and combating poverty in rural regions of Nepal. Our aim is to introduce interlocking bricks as an affordable, eco-friendly, and earthquake-resistant solution for constructing houses. Using sand, soil, and just 10% cement, our Interlocking Earth Bricks are produced locally, enabling impoverished families to build disaster-resistant homes at a low cost. Since our inception, we have made significant strides in empowering impoverished families, with our Interlocking Brick technology reaching over 300 villages across Nepal. We have also extended our efforts outside of earthquake-affected areas, working diligently to support those in need. To date, we have helped establish 306 entrepreneurs, constructed 8,656 houses, generated 3,417 jobs, and reduced CO2 emissions by 86,386 tons. Over the next five years, our goals are ambitious yet attainable. We aim to support 600 villages, create 6,600 jobs (with a focus on women, youth, and disadvantaged groups), build 25,000 houses, and save 115,000 tons of CO2 emissions by replacing fired bricks with our eco-friendly Interlocking Bricks.
