## Description

Trace is an AI-native PCB design platform from WishEDA Inc., built to help hardware teams move from an idea to a manufacturable circuit board faster. Available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, it supports both standalone design and a plugin for users of Altium or KiCad. Trace’s AI agents assist across the workflow, including block diagrams, hierarchical schematic capture, datasheet research, component selection, symbol and footprint generation, board placement, routing, and electrical and design rule checks.

The platform includes more than 30,000 symbols and footprints, checks component availability from suppliers such as JLCPCB, LCSC, DigiKey, Mouser, and Texas Instruments, and supports designs with up to 32 layers. Engineers can import existing designs and enclosure files, apply manufacturer constraints, and review boards before fabrication. Trace exports Gerber, BOM, pick-and-place, ODB++, and IPC-2581 files, with options to order through JLCPCB or PCBWay. Additional features include cloud routing, high-speed signal tuning, reusable design preferences, and plan-and-approve workflows. Trace offers a free start and a seven-day trial with full access.
