BYOC Build Your Own Cookie is a beloved family-owned dessert shop with two locations on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. Since its opening in 2009 on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, BYOC has been dedicated to sharing their delicious homemade cookie sundaes with the local community. Their success prompted them to open a second location in West Ocean City, Maryland in 2019.

At BYOC, they specialize in customizable cookie sundaes. You get to choose your warm, homemade cookie, topped with your favorite Hershey's ice cream and a variety of delectable toppings. But that's not all they offer! You can also indulge in delightful treats like ice cream cups, cones, milkshakes, waffle cone sundaes, and even edible cookie dough.

The dessert shop features custom-built construction site tables and picnic tables for outdoor seating. Look out for their eye-catching lit up construction cones. They are the perfect spot to satisfy your sweet tooth after a day at the beach.

Owned and operated by Wendy and Kent Massey, BYOC operates seasonally from April to September. Their current hours are Monday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday to Sunday from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
