## Description

Bethel Pilots Baseball is part of the larger athletic program at Bethel University. They compete in the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA, Division I). Offering a wide range of varsity sports, the Pilots participate in 26 sports, including baseball, and 4 reserve sports. They are proud full members of the Crossroads League and associate members of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) for both men's and women's swim and dive teams. In addition, they are members of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) for women's lacrosse and men's volleyball, as well as the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), Great Lakes Esports Conference (GLEC), and National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) for esports. The mission of Bethel University Athletics is to enhance the mission of the university by using a faith-based approach to athletic competition. Their aim is to transform lives into the likeness of Jesus Christ and equip student-athletes to become servant leaders who positively influence their teams, the campus, and the world for Christ. They focus on four core values: spiritual formation, athletic development, servant leadership, and academic excellence. With a rich history dating back to the 1950s, the Pilots' athletic program has grown significantly. They started with men's basketball in 1958 and expanded to include baseball, men's cross country, men's golf, and men's tennis in the 1960s. Throughout the years, they added additional sports, including women's basketball, women's volleyball, and softball in the 1970s. The 1980s marked their membership in the Mid-Central College Conference (MCC), now known as the Crossroads League. More teams were added in the 1990s, such as women's cross country, women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, and women's soccer. In the 2000s and 2010s, they continued to expand their offering with sports like women's golf, men's wrestling, women's lacrosse, coed competitive cheer, and various other teams. Overall, the Pilots' athletics program has a long-standing tradition of promoting athletic achievement, personal growth, and faith-based values.
