## Description

Burg Satzvey is one of the most beautiful water castles in the Rhineland, with historical mentions dating back to 1396, although it is believed that the foundations are even older. For over 300 years, the castle has been in the possession of the Beissel von Gymnich family and continues to serve as their residence. The castle is renowned for its successful blend of monument preservation and vibrant historical presentation, guided by the motto Preservation through Entertainment.

Managed by Patricia Gräfin Beissel GmbH since 2012, the castle offers a variety of family-friendly events, including historical festivals, concerts, and private celebrations throughout the year, alongside conferences and workshops. Visitors can also explore the beautiful grounds, dine at the on-site restaurants, and enjoy unique accommodations in nostalgic rooms. For a complete experience, guided tours of the castle are available, and special events may require a separate entry fee. Burg Satzvey is committed to making history engaging and accessible, ensuring a memorable visit for all.
