## Description

Burgschützen Hoppingen is a community shooting club rooted in the long tradition of shooting sports in Hoppingen, with historical records dating back to 1848. The club was re-established on 25 March 1961, bringing local members together to continue the sport after it had ceased following the Second World War. A major milestone was the construction of its clubhouse, completed in 1992 with the help of approximately 3,500 hours of voluntary work. Located in the former schoolhouse, the club’s facilities include a shooting room equipped with eight modern electric shooting stands and a welcoming social space featuring a traditional tiled stove. The clubhouse is part of a shared community centre, alongside spaces used by young people and the local fire brigade. Burgschützen Hoppingen supports local shooting activities and provides a venue for club gatherings and events. Its clubhouse is also used by residents for community events and private family celebrations, making the organisation an active part of village life.
