## Description

Buro Bitterzoet is the coaching practice of Maaike Dol, supporting mothers who have or have had cancer. It helps women navigate the impact of illness while caring for their children and family, making space for their own needs, emotions and future. The practice offers a calm, non-judgmental setting to discuss difficult questions and find practical ways forward.

Its approach is based on Maaike’s Kompas model and a systemic perspective, considering how illness affects different areas of life and the family as a whole. Services include a 60-minute online “Zicht op jouw Kompas” session, which explores seven areas affected by illness and provides a personal Kompas with practical guidance by email. Mothers seeking more ongoing support can choose the six-session “Navigeren met jouw Kompas” programme, with optional access to an online collection of videos, exercises and tools. One-off coaching for a specific question is also available. Sessions can take place online or at Maaike’s practice, with guidance adapted to each mother’s circumstances and pace.
