## Description

**Busker Fleadh**

Busker Fleadh is a vibrant celebration of street performance and independent music, organized by Dublin City Council. This unique event, traditionally held in Smithfield Square, embraced a virtual format in 2020, allowing buskers from Dublin to showcase their talents online. Taking place on October 3rd and 4th, the Busker Fleadh Online featured a diverse lineup of twenty acts, spanning various genres, ages, and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the rich musical heritage of Ireland.

Attendees had the opportunity to watch live performances streamed on Facebook and YouTube, and even participate by voting for their favorite acts, culminating in the announcement of winners at a special 'Busker Fleadh Concert.' Beyond just entertainment, the event offered free workshops and a competition where aspiring artists could win valuable prizes, including recording sessions and musical instruments. The Busker Fleadh not only entertains but also fosters community spirit and supports local talent, creating memorable experiences for audiences and performers alike.
