## Description

BWA is an Islamic philanthropic organization in Indonesia and a pioneer in waqf innovation. It serves as a bridge between wakif, or donors who establish waqf, and the people who benefit from these charitable endowments. Through its platform, BWA helps donors direct support to communities across the country, including those in remote areas.

Its programs combine religious, humanitarian, educational, and community-focused initiatives. Offerings include Quran waqf, da’wah development, humanitarian charity, Indonesia Belajar, and zakat, alongside Water Action for People and Tebar Cahaya Indonesia Terang. BWA also promotes productive waqf and peer-to-peer waqf, and presents projects that supporters can explore and fund. The organization works with corporate partners and small and medium-sized businesses, as well as institutions and fundraisers, to broaden participation and collaboration.

Based in Tebet, South Jakarta, BWA shares project updates, impact information, reports, and testimonials through its website. Donors and supporters can register, log in, access program information, and subscribe to a newsletter for news about its initiatives.
