## Description

The Boston Women’s Heritage Trail (BWHT) is dedicated to honoring and preserving the history of women in Boston. Established in 1989, this nonprofit organization seeks to restore women's contributions to the city and enrich educational curricula with their stories. BWHT offers a variety of self-guided walking tours that span four centuries of women's history across multiple neighborhoods including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Dorchester, and Jamaica Plain. Each tour highlights significant landmarks and figures, such as influential suffragists and community leaders.

In addition to self-guided options, BWHT provides private tours and student-designed walks, ensuring an accessible experience for all. The trail not only celebrates the achievements of historical figures like Abigail Adams and Louisa May Alcott but also encourages contemporary discussions around women's roles in society today. By participating in BWHT's tours, visitors gain a deeper appreciation for the powerful narratives that have shaped Boston, while supporting a mission that continually seeks to keep women's stories alive.
