## Description

BWZ Rapperswil-Jona is a vocational education institution serving learners in the Rapperswil-Jona area. It provides practical, career-focused initial training taught by engaged, experienced teachers using contemporary methods and relevant teaching approaches. Its programmes cover a range of professions, including retail, commercial studies, construction drafting and architecture, design, plastics technology and mechanical engineering. Learners can pursue qualifications at EBA and EFZ levels, as well as pathways to the vocational baccalaureate or a technical informatics middle school. The school also offers bridging programmes, support and elective courses, a learning atelier, sports and performance-sport programmes, and access to teaching materials and digital learning arrangements. For adults, the associated Akademie Rapperswil-Jona–St.Gallen provides continuing education, with a focus on commercial and business administration and a strong presence in Eastern Switzerland. BWZ supports learning beyond the classroom through projects, field experiences and school activities, including architecture study trips. Prospective students can apply for the 2026/27 school year, while learners and the wider community can follow school news, events and services such as social counselling.
