## Description

The Bulgarian Yachting Association (BYA), established in 2024, is an organization working to strengthen Bulgaria’s presence in the international yachting industry and promote the country as a premier destination in the Black Sea region. It brings together yacht owners, crew, businesses and other maritime stakeholders, fostering collaboration and supporting a professional, sustainable sector. BYA represents industry interests nationally and internationally, including those of owners, captains, shipyards, marinas and yacht managers, and advocates for improved regulations, industry recognition and alignment with international standards.

The association supports yacht management and operations through practical consultancy and guidance. It also helps maritime professionals develop their careers through partnerships with training academies and providers offering courses, certifications and career guidance. Other priorities include promoting Bulgarian yachting businesses, building the local industry community, and advancing environmental stewardship and the blue economy. Through its website, BYA showcases Bulgaria as a yachting destination and provides a platform for industry information, news, events, members and partners. Its activities connect Bulgarian stakeholders with the wider European and global boating community.
