## Description

Alex Miles is a writer and speaker whose work brings stories, creativity and a love of words to young readers. Her website introduces Olive Black, a fictional 10-year-old Australian girl balancing school, friendships and family life while also becoming an international movie star. The Olive Black series follows her through playful mysteries and adventures, including The Pyramid Puzzle, Mammoth Mistake, The Robbery Riddle, Halloween Queen and Puppy Planet. These stories combine the excitement of Olive’s on-screen roles with the puzzles and challenges she encounters in everyday life.

Alongside her writing, Alex offers author talks and workshops for schools, helping students develop ideas, strengthen writing habits and exercise their “imagination muscle” through engaging activities. Schools can find information about inviting her to speak, while teachers and budding writers can access resources and advice through her eNews. The site also shares updates about book events, festivals, tours and appearances, as well as behind-the-scenes information about Alex’s writing and projects.
