About
Description
Big Sky Youth Empowerment (BYEP) is a brand that provides life-changing opportunities for vulnerable teenagers in the Gallatin Valley, located in Bozeman, Montana. With a mission to empower and uplift youth, BYEP utilizes group mentorship and experiential adventures to help these teenagers experience success and become contributing members of their community. Founded in 2001 by Pete MacFadyen, an avid snowboarder, fly fisherman, and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), BYEP was created in response to the need for innovative programs targeting exceptional high-school-aged teens.
Through voluntary participation, the program brings together youth from Bozeman and Belgrade, pairing them with mentors and program managers for weekend adventures and weekday workshops. These adventures, held at various locations in Gallatin County, challenge participants and help build their confidence. Additionally, weekday workshops focus on vital life skills such as building healthy relationships, independent decision making, and interpersonal skills.
By equipping the youth with these essential skills, BYEP aims to empower them to make educated decisions and pursue an independent and empowered future. Join the Big Sky Youth Empowerment movement and support the greatness of future generations. Contact them today to find out more about how you can get involved, volunteer, or make a donation
