## Description

Anna Mathai is an artist and writer based in Los Angeles whose practice brings together texture, color, and sculptural form. Her work has been exhibited internationally, featured in art magazines around the world, and recognized with awards. Working with Venetian plaster, limestone, 24-karat gold, and other materials, she creates distinctive, vibrant sculptural paintings designed to evoke emotion and invite close attention.

Her portfolio spans several bodies of work, including Interdimensional Landscapes, figurative pieces, Wild Woman, Thumbprints and Origamis, Metallic Waves, Aura Landscapes, Heritage Scrap, sculptural works, and metal pieces. In addition to her original art, Mathai designs and installs plaster murals and accent walls, bringing textured finishes into interior spaces.

She offers work for sale and accepts commissions, allowing clients to inquire about acquiring existing pieces or discussing a commissioned artwork. Through a material-focused approach and varied series, Anna Mathai’s work connects contemporary art with richly tactile surfaces. Follow her latest work on Instagram at @bymathai.
